Einst war sie eine bekannte Schriftstellerin, die besonders mit Schauergeschichten Erfolg hatte. Ihr Immobilien-Verwalter Mr. Waxcap (Bob Balaban) stellt deshalb die junge Lily (Ruth Wilson) für Blum ein.
